Crazy Cape Cod [8/26/11]

So to finish off the summer my mom brought me to Cape Cod for the first time in my life! We barley even got to see the beach, but had tons of fun shopping.

I'm Back!!!

The last few...months? I haven't been blogging. Why? I never really thought I could write anything interesting. I know I'm a writer but stories are easier! Now I'm going to try my hand at blogging again! I have been busy though. I have a vlog channel (link below) where you can see what I have been up to!

Draft Three Down!!!

I'm not kidding when I say I just finished editing the third draft of my book(which ended up being about 49,500 words!) What does that mean? I now get to start writing query letters to send to agents!!! I know some people find it really hard to write a query letter but I can't wait!!!

Last Thursday I also went to my first writers/critique group! It was so much fun to talk to other writers at my local book store--although I spent way to much time talking. I didn't know that I could talk that much about my book, but they seemed really interested.

Last thing I wanted to say is I have a YouTube channel. I will be posting things like book reviews, vlogs, and other things that I feel fit. Be sure to subscribe and spread word! mandilynnVLOGS

New Website!

After a lot of thinking and talking to my parents I have a new website(kinda). Before the URL was long, so we bought the domain and now it's a lot shorter. My dad helped me because I'm clueless when it comes to this stuff and after calling companies to make sure we didn't get dipped we bought the domain. First Blog!

Let's start with the basics. I'm 14 and I wrote a novel called Essence. I just finished re-writing it last week and I'll be starting the editing soon. I'm looking for an agent at this time and hopefully soon I'll be published!
